Portable Research State (PRS) is a bounded research-derived technical object within Miralucis. It investigates what may need to remain recoverable and sufficiently qualified when complex work continues across changing model contexts.
PRS does not define Miralucis. It is one technical object produced within a broader research environment.
Why this question emerged
Long-duration work can preserve information without preserving a reliable current working state.
Earlier statements may remain available after their conditions have changed. Previous decisions may no longer be active. Recovered material may be incomplete, superseded, context-dependent, or insufficiently qualified for continued work.
PRS emerged from investigating this difference between material that can be recovered and material that can legitimately support bounded continuation.
Research distinctions
Recovery ≠ Qualification
Recovering earlier material does not by itself establish that the recovered material is current, sufficient, or qualified for continued work.
Safe Operational Re-entry ≠ Execution Permission
A state may be sufficiently formed for bounded continuation without independently establishing permission for every subsequent action.
Current bounded state
By September 2026, PRS had progressed into bounded operational experiments and a working prototype.
This establishes a current experimental and engineering reality. It does not establish production readiness, universal applicability, broad reliability, or a general solution to continuity.
Current public descriptions therefore remain deliberately bounded to what the available evidence supports.
What PRS does not establish
PRS does not establish that every form of Human–AI continuity can be recovered.
It does not establish that a recovered state is automatically current.
It does not establish that working relationships can be fully represented by a portable state.
It does not establish that successful bounded experiments generalize to production environments.
These limits remain part of the research rather than gaps to be filled by stronger language.
One research object within Miralucis
PRS is important within the current research program because it makes a difficult continuity problem available for bounded technical investigation.
Its progress does not convert Miralucis into a PRS company, a memory system, or a continuity product organization.
Current Product ≠ Institutional Identity.
Other research objects retain their own questions, evidence, qualification, and limits.
